![]() ![]() Of course, it works with other hot things too (polluted water is a great coolant, and built in heat deletion is marvelous) but unless it's an emergency I'd rather avoid other heat producing geysers early game. No wheezeworts, no advanced equipment, basic power systems (dupe and coal generally) and the heat was brutal. I ended up doing this because I had a few seeds in a row with a CSG IMMEDIATELY outside the starter biome. Adding more polluted water generators (like showers, carbon skimmers, algae distillery, etc) just makes it work better, so as your base grows it just gets more effective but never really requires any real work or maintenance. The best part imho is that it's available right from the moment you get the sieve, and because it's just a loop of pipe you don't even need pumps (though you'll eventually want one to use the CSG's water in say an electrolyzer) so there's no power draw beyond what you'd use anyways making a basic bathroom loop.
